Every appointment must be secured with a deposit.
A deposit not only reserves our time for you, but ensures that you are serious and committed to making the appointment.
DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances, and are non-transferable between other clients and other artists.
Deposits are valid for 6 months.
If you need to reschedule a first appointment, you have 6 months to use your deposit and book back in. Please see rescheduling requirements.
New service procedures require two sessions. We use your original deposit to hold the time slot of your second session. Second sessions are booked 6-8 weeks after the first session, but ultimately you have up to 6 months to redeem this appointment. If for any reason the second session is not scheduled within a 6 month period of time, the deposit will be forfeited and a fresh deposit/payment will be required for your 2nd appointment.
Once again, deposits are non refundable. If you get cold feet or travel plans change- it still remains non-refundable. Please make sure you are seriously committed to attending your appointment :)
If you need to reschedule, & you give us at least 72-hour notice, your deposit can be transferred to another date. Reschedule requests must be made via email to : info@laurelnyc.com

Cancellations hurt our artists’ business and livelihood.You have reserved an artist’s time with a sum that is less than what they will make on your tattoo.
When you can’t make it to your appointment, the deposit is kept as small compensation for the time and money lost. We still make less. It’s not ideal for anyone :(
If you choose to cancel an appointment for any reason, your deposit will not be refunded. We are strict about this because we want clients to really think their procedures through and make sure they are committed to attending their appointments.
If you would like to cancel a current appointment, and RESCHEDULE for a later date, you may still use your current deposit under these conditions:

The request must hit our inbox with a minimum of 3 days notice (72 hours)
If you reach out with less than 72 hours notice, your deposit is forfeit and a new deposit must be left to book back in.

If you are a no-show, you will be charged the full cost of your appointment.

If you arrive to your appointment with previous tattooing and have not been pre-approved by one of our artists, your deposit will be forfeited and other fees may apply.

If you will be late to your appointment, please let us know! If someone is late, the first thing we do is check our inbox for client communication, so email is usually best!

If you are more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and deposit forfeited. If you’d like to rebook, a new deposit will be required. Deposits are non-refundable.

Guidelines are provided to achieve optimal results, but there are NO GUARANTEES made due to different skin types reacting differently to the procedure and because we have no control over outside factors (proper aftercare, skin type, lifestyle, exposure etc.) that contribute to the final product.
A minimum of 2 appointments are typically required to achieve the most consistent, long-lasting outcome.
Additional appointments may be necessary to achieve your desired results and will be charged accordingly, but we always try to do our best with the initial two.

It’s best to send a clear, well lit photos of your tattooing without makeup.

Once you’ve booked in with us, it’s awkward to switch artists and we don’t encourage it.
Always research your artist thoroughly and wisely before booking in.
Our policy regarding this is that if you decide to switch artists after you’ve left a deposit, you will forfeit that initial deposit and have to leave a new one for your desired artist.

Yes absolutely! We do take previous tattooing on a case by case basis….
Please note requirements:
A free email consultation included. Please email us some clear, well lit photos of a no makeup face and the area you want worked on. Get cute-send us a bunch of angles so we can really see!
Previous tattooing must be a minimum of 2 years old, and be extremely faded from skin.
This is a Rework appointment, NOT new brows or lips, and has special pricing - please be sure to book accordingly
Showing up to your appointment without prior approval will result in loss of deposit and appointment.

Due to the sensitive nature of raised freckles or moles, and how the tattooing process can affect these skin irregularities, our artists will not tattoo over these spots, but it may be possible to tattoo around them depending on the placement of the procedure itself.
Tattooing around scar tissue is also a very delicate process. Our artists may be able to perform certain tattooing procedures around scar tissue, but before you book an appointment, we ask that you seek pre-approval from a Laurel artist first.
If you have any scarring or textured skin from a raised freckle or mole, please seek the guidance of our artists before booking an appointment. If an appointment is booked, and your artist is not previously informed about scarring or raised skin, there is a possibility that your appointment may be canceled, and the deposit for your session will be forfeited.
